What are the complications after eyelid tightening surgery?
There may be some pain and discomfort after surgery. The patient may also experience black eyes, bruising, and swelling that can last for up to two weeks but will resolve over time. Occasionally, scars may form at the surgical site; these typically fade with time, depending on how well the patient's skin responds to healing of the surgical incision.

Post‑surgery tips
Following the doctor's instructions helps reduce symptoms and speed up recovery.
Mild and temporary effect
Swelling and bruising are temporary and can be managed.
It lasts for a limited period
Swelling and bruising typically last from 5 to 14 days.
It disappears over time
Most symptoms and effects gradually disappear over time.
Important information you should know
In some patients, the surgical incision heals without leaving any marks, while in others, healing is accompanied by scars that persist for a period but usually fade in the end. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty can last more than 5-7 years. As for the lower eyelid, it rarely needs to be repeated. Note that the skin around the eyes will continue to be affected by the aging process.
